The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring effective preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues.

Responsibilities
Perform and complete preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
Create and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and logs
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Familiarity with both manual and CNC machine tool installations
Evaluate, troubleshoot, diagnose equipment problems and recommend repairs
Must work closely with Materials and Plant Managers
Establish a relationship with vendors and work with them in repairing the equipment
Able to read and understand parts and service manuals to recommend repairs of equipment
Will be required to work both independently and within a team environment
Complete all related paperwork, including maintaining equipment logs
Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
At least 2 years of equipment repair experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with both manual and CNC machine tool installations
Ability to read and understand parts and service manuals to recommend repairs of equipment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items
Preferred
Experience with metal and copper fabrication equipment is a plus
