Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an Energy Asset Manager on behalf of their client. This role is responsible for reviewing energy usage and strategies across healthcare facilities, implementing best practices, and directly managing the Operations & Maintenance of the Central Energy Plant.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily energy usage and provide recommendations for improvements and best practices
Mentor facility owners on energy strategies and operational efficiency
Manage the Central Energy Plant Operation & Maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers
Oversee Maintenance Reserve Accounts for the CEP
Train, support, and mentor Plant Operators to ensure continuous operational efficiency
Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual
Assist the EPC team in coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities with O&M operations
Lead troubleshooting and diagnostics in coordination with the remote support services team
Manage one or more teams of Asset Managers or Assistant Asset Managers

Qualification

Energy Asset ManagementMechanical EngineeringCentral Energy Plant OperationsBuilding Codes KnowledgeHealthcare Facilities ExperienceProfessional Engineer License

Required

4+ years of management experience in a central energy plant/facility, overseeing multiple project sites and staff
Strong background in Mechanical Engineering (commercial construction experience with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant)
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET Accredited Program)
Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
Strong understanding of competitors and industry best practices
Must have hospital/healthcare facilities experience in addition to a Mechanical Engineering background

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) License OR FE certification with progression toward PE licensure
