Responsibilities
Support instructional labs by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment to ensure safe, effective learning environments
Manage research equipment across the college, including maintenance, calibration, vendor coordination, and usage tracking
Oversee inventory and procurement of lab supplies to prevent disruptions in operations
Coordinate lab activities with faculty and staff, including equipment upgrades, installations, and space planning
Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and maintain compliance with university and regulatory standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and participate in planning meetings related to lab operations and safety
Qualification
Required
Advanced machining certificate (1500 hours) or equivalent including manual and CNC mills and lathes required
CAD/CAM proficiency with Solid Works / Solid Cam or other popular software's required
Knowledge and practice of safety standards for equipment and personnel required
Strong ability to communicate and mentor college students
Preferred
Flexible schedule (Workshop Saturday)
Welding experience, MIG-TIG
Fabrication, sheet metal
C02 laser cutting
