The Planet Group is seeking a Systems Engineer – Infrastructure to manage and optimize network and systems infrastructure across the enterprise. This role involves evaluating and implementing technical solutions, ensuring system availability, and creating technical documentation while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, test, and implement complex technical solutions focused on business value

Support enterprise systems including compute, storage, virtualization, cloud, and backup

Manage lifecycle, upgrades, capacity, and incident/change/problem resolution

Act as liaison to Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Production Support teams

Ensure availability and performance of systems infrastructure

Align technology solutions with strategic business plans

Develop and monitor system management procedures and policies

Coordinate upgrades and capacity planning with vendors and internal teams

Conduct security assessments in collaboration with the Security team

Create engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation

Communicate project-related support efforts across the organization

Operate independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively
