Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the interconnection process, from feasibility studies to interconnection agreements, ensuring projects are technically sound, cost-effective, and compliant with ISO/utility requirements
Provide pre-sales and proposal support, presenting technical solutions to clients in clear, accessible terms tailored to diverse audiences
Build and maintain effective relationships with utilities, regulators, vendors, and project partners to facilitate project success
Assess interconnection risks, evaluate utility cost estimates, and identify opportunities for savings and design optimization
Work closely with internal teams in development, finance, policy, and product to align technical and commercial strategies
Develop tools, standards, and workflows to streamline interconnection and development practices across the business
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that prioritizes accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in renewable energy project development (solar PV, battery storage required; additional technologies a plus)
Active or eligible Professional Engineer (PE) license, with experience in preparing/stamping designs for interconnection applications
Strong background in power system analysis and interconnection standards, including load flow, short circuit, contingency, and dynamic studies
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, delivering results on time and within budget
Strong business sense with the ability to balance technical requirements against commercial realities
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Advanced degree
Experience in substation design, system planning, and regulatory processes
