Responsibilities
Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions
Be ready to cross-train across any engineering technician area in the ISS Contract including but not limited to Torpedo Depot and Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) for 3-6 month rotations. Note some rotations will require full body PPE for extended periods of time. Rotation assignment is at the discretion of the coordinating Task Leads, the Deputy PM, and the PM
Hazard Duty Some roles may require employee be occupationally exposed to hazardous substances such as Otto Fuel II, lead, chromium, or cadmium. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided. Physical and medical certifications would be required for these roles, paid for by employer
Cleaning Roles Some roles may have extended use of PPE and be considered ‘dirty’ jobs, i.e., requiring extensive cleaning of parts. Cross training is used to provide 3-6 months rotations in and out of these roles

Qualification
Required
The ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
Must possess ability to operate computers and perform the following functions, including but not limited to Alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet review and data entry, capability of switching between computer applications with relative ease
Ability to complete Web-Based training
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office suite
Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time
Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking
The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities
The ability to operate heavy machinery and industrial tools with limited to no supervision. Examples may include but are not limited to Electric/Diesel Forklift, CNC Milling Machine, Welding/Soldering, CAT III Overhead Crane, pallet jack, 'Big Joe' stand-behind pallet lift mechanism, and more
