New Grad, Entry LevelUPMC is a leading academic medical center seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to join their Radiology Department. In this role, you will perform various diagnostic imaging procedures while working in a collaborative environment with expert technologists and radiologists.

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiography procedures using established protocols and independent judgment
Prepare patients for exams, confirm identity using two identifiers, and review histories/orders for accuracy
Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
Administer oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and policies
Accurately code, track, and archive exams in RIS/ISITE systems
Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and staff to deliver efficient, compassionate care
Qualification
Required
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date
Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified
Technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained
ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist
Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date
CPR or BLS Required
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
