Assistant Director for Leadership and Curricular Engagement
The University of California, Riverside is seeking an Assistant Director for Leadership and Curricular Engagement to oversee the development and implementation of curricular strategies in residential facilities. This role includes managing a team of Residential Education Program Advisors and serving as an Executive Advisor to various housing student organizations.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the curricular approach in all residential facilities
Responsible for the implementation and management of large-scale curricular strategies with an emphasis on initiatives that serves to enhance understanding and respect for the residential and Highlander community
Serves as a resource for the residential students and campus partners
Supervises the Residential Education Program Advisors (PAs) student staff team (approximately 19-28) as well as Assistant Resident Directors (ARDs) senior student staff team (approximately 3)
Serves as the Executive Advisor to the Housing student organizations including but not limited to Residence Hall Association, National Residence Hall Honorary and Campus Apartment Resident Association
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Master's degree
6 - 10 years of related experience
Advanced knowledge of advising and counseling techniques
Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences
Advanced knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance
Advanced abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills
Advanced ability to develop original ideas to solve problems
Ability to work independently
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and assess data related to student success, development, and program effectiveness
Demonstrated understanding of student development theories and practices
