Responsibilities

Lead or assist in the development of facility and or utility master plans

Lead the planning, design, and execution of wastewater treatment and conveyance projects

Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance

Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams

Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documents

Oversee permitting processes and ensure environmental and safety compliance

Conducts work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers

Perform schedule reviews on construction projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects

Mentor junior engineers and project staff

Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed

Lead proposal development efforts for new business

Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales and marketing

Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations

Required

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering

Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date

10+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central US region; preference to 10 years of experience in the Texas market

Significant experience in de-salination plants, water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and pump station

Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget

Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills

Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies including TCEQ, and EPA
