Digital Content & Campaigns Intern - Computer Science Department

The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Digital Content & Campaigns Intern for the Computer Science Department. The intern will lead social media strategy, create engaging content, and analyze performance metrics to enhance awareness and engagement for the department.

Responsibilities

Write and schedule platform-specific copy for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other channels
Build and track monthly campaign calendars that align with department goals and content priorities
Analyze social performance metrics and generate monthly insights and trend reports
Stay current on digital trends and suggest experiments in content formats and tone
Collaborate with writing interns to adapt long-form stories into high-performing social content
Coordinate with the design intern to develop compelling visual assets for social and email
Partner with the SEO intern to amplify externally trending topics or optimize social reach
Assist with website updates and email marketing copy as needed
Contribute ideas in weekly team meetings and help evolve our digital strategy

Required

Strong writing skills with a sharp sense of platform tone and visual rhythm
Deep understanding of how different content types perform on Instagram, LinkedIn, and X
Curiosity about content trends and how they intersect with storytelling and brand
Comfort with social media analytics, performance tracking, and report writing
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple pieces of a campaign

Preferred

Working knowledge of Later, Agorapulse, Canva, or Asana is helpful but not required
