They are seeking a Transmission Engineer Associate to support their Interconnection and Transmission department with research, data analysis, and project support for solar and BESS projects.

Responsibilities
Conduct basic research on transmission systems, interconnection opportunities, and market dynamics
Support the preparation of interconnection applications for Solar PV, PV+BESS, and standalone BESS projects
Assist in preliminary transmission screenings to identify viable project locations
Help track project interconnection milestones and maintain project documentation
Summarize and communicate findings to project teams in a clear and concise manner
Support the evaluation of grid upgrade costs and schedules with guidance from senior team members
Assist with utility and ISO/RTO correspondence and documentation
Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related technical field
Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
Passion for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure
Preferred
Internship or project experience related to renewable energy, transmission, or power systems
Familiarity with basic power systems concepts (e.g., transmission, load flow, interconnection)
Exposure to modeling or analysis software such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF, or TARA
