Responsibilities

Meet or exceed territory sales goals
Work with management to create and implement a strategic business plan for the territory
Develop, expand, and maintain good working relationships with accounts
Attend local and national trade shows/conferences as well as smaller vendor (Table-top) shows
Identify key new business opportunities
Provide expertise and customer service to accounts
Gather data on marketing trends and competitive products to capitalize on selling opportunities
Document and present territory updates
Identify and demonstrate the ability to build rapport with key decision makers

Required

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a life sciences field, with strong working knowledge of molecular and cellular biology
1-2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology
5-8 years relevant sales experience
Proven sales experience in life sciences or a related field and an understanding of the sales process
Must be able to interface comfortably with customers and possess strong relationship-building skills
Be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team
Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills
Have excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
Be willing to travel away from home office and territory (occasionally) for weekly customer visits, quarterly regional meetings, periodic national/global sales meetings, and larger scientific conferences as needed

Preferred

Demonstrable knowledge of NEB products, methodologies, or markets. Hands-on experience is highly desired
Prior working knowledge of Salesforce.com
1-4 Years of Direct selling experience in the field of molecular biology
