Family Peer Support Supervisor

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to a team of Family Peer Support Specialists (FPSS) who support families navigating the challenges of raising children with behavioral health needs
Ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of the family peer support program
Supervise and guide the Family Peer Support Specialist team (maintaining a 1:10 supervisor-to-peer ratio), ensuring quality service delivery
Facilitate professional development and foster a supportive work environment
Promote self-advocacy, system navigation, and resilience among both the FPSS team and the families they serve, ultimately improving outcomes for youth involved in multiple systems

Required

Must be Qualified Mental Health Professional
Minimum of two years of experience in mental health, substance use, or related human services field
Must complete FPSS-specific supervisor training within 10 months of hire date
Knowledge of and experience with such child-serving systems as (mental health, developmental disabilities, schools, juvenile justice, child welfare, etc.)
Completion of 88 hours of required training for family peer specialist certification including: Trauma Informed Supervisor Training, System of Care, Family Journey Assessment Training, and other relevant professional development
National Family Peer Specialist Certification required within 12 months of start date if not already certified

Preferred

B.A or B.S. in Social Work or a related human service field
Prior experience as a Family Peer Support Specialist or with family peer support programs
Experience in providing direct supervision
National Family Peer Specialist Certification preferred at time of hire
