Responsibilities

Lead development of the system Built-in-Test (BIT)
Test supplier software deliveries
Determine root cause of software issues and propose corrective actions
Review supplier software development process, conduct audits and code reviews
Perform system integration of components

Qualification

Aerospace software developmentHardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)C programmingPython programmingDO-178 understandingFlight control systemsData analysis using MATLABModelingSimulationLabVIEW programmingTechnical writingCommunication skills

Required

Must possess a degree from an accredited university (preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering)
5 + years with Bachelor's; or 3 years and a Master's; or PhD without experience or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace software development and test
Aerospace software development experience
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test experience
C and Python programming
Understanding of software development process for flight (DO-178)
Excellent technical writing and communication skills

Preferred

Hands-on experience testing/troubleshooting electronics and electromechanical systems
Experience with flight control systems including fault-tolerant architectures
Knowledge of aircraft flight control system operations, flight test, or pilot experience
Understanding of systems development process for flight (ARP-4754)
Data analysis using MATLAB
Modeling and simulation using Simulink
LabVIEW programming
