Responsibilities
Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare construction documents for plumbing and/or HVAC systems
Perform all applicable design calculations and system selections under the engineer’s oversight
Calculate building loads using Energy Pro or other energy modeling software
Work with the Project Manager to maintain project timelines and deadlines
Coordinate promptly with all parties involved in the project
Qualification
Required
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
Excellent communication skills
At least 2 years of experience as a Project Designer in Mechanical Engineering in HVAC and/or plumbing design, controls, and hydronics
Ability to put a complete set of biddable construction documents together
Individual must be knowledgeable in commercial, educational, and/or municipal construction
Must be able to complete 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD/Revit
Possess a working knowledge of regularly used building codes
Comfortable working in an office environment
Ability to work both independently and with a team
Must have excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
Preferred
A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required
EIT, PE License, or demonstrated progress toward these goals
LEED AP or other relevant certifications
