Technical Accounting Manager

Responsibilities
Conduct deep-dive research to draft bulletproof technical accounting memos and policies
Be the authority on non-revenue contracts, guiding the team on how to handle non-routine deals
Provide a leading voice in developing and maintaining internal controls for external reporting
Partner with FP&A and accounting to prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring flawless execution
Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
Manage the preparation of supporting documentation for all external reporting, tying out numbers with precision
Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring new accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring the company is always compliant
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting processes, ditching manual work for good
Have a vocal presence, sharing your expertise on US GAAP and public company accounting to elevate the entire team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred)
Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ability to research accounting guidance, establish a position, and develop processes and procedures for implementation
5-7 years client-facing public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional accounting firm experience preferred)
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments across the organization
Experience mentoring and coaching other team members for technical accounting areas
High level of initiative and drive with a natural sense of ownership for projects and duties
Ability to work well on a team with collaboration and clear communication
Excellent written and oral communication skills for credibility at all levels of the organization
Solid accounting, analytical, and research skills
Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders
Comfort working with multi-location companies
Preferred
CPA preferred
Big 4 or regional accounting firm experience preferred
Workiva wDesk experience is a plus
