North Star Behavioral Health is a respected healthcare organization that operates Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 235-bed acute care hospital in Florida. They are seeking a Lead CT Technologist to oversee the CAT Scan department, ensure quality imaging services, and manage staff training and scheduling responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility and accountability for the CAT Scan department

Serve as a unit lead technologist by assisting other CAT Scan technologists, ensuring quality, and resolving situations as they arise

Facilitate workflows by creating employee schedules, time keeping in Kronos, ordering of supplies, staff training, Joint Commission tracers, radiation badges, ensuring PACS and imaging quality assurance and CDOS quarterly meetings

Report any issues with radiology equipment to Imaging Manager

Be responsible for employee competencies (initial and annual) and employee certifications and renewals and yearly evaluations

Provide radiographic imaging to patients of all age groups

Utilize equipment and technique to assist in diagnosis or treatment including but not limited to general radiographic procedures and mobile radiographs

Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure

Be available for “on-call” duties

Be capable of and willing to cross-train and float into other areas to meet the needs of the facility as well as assist in the cross-training and orientation of others into the department as requested

Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training
