Civil Engineer, PE - Water/Wastewater

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing design and hydraulic calculations, preparing engineering reports and drawings, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications during construction projects.

Responsibilities

Perform conceptual and detailed design and hydraulic calculations and analyses
Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents
Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects
Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design team
Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information
Provide onsite resident engineer responsibilities during the construction of projects to ensure contract design and specifications are being followed

Qualification

Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseWater/Wastewater DesignAutoCAD/Civil 3DRevitMicrosoft OfficeCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License required, or ability to obtain within one year
5+ years of experience in planning and designing water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, to include Excel, word processing, and scheduling programs, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Revit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
