The Modern Classrooms Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering educators through innovative teaching methods. They are seeking a Math Curriculum Development Manager to design and improve classroom-ready materials for math educators, manage contractors, and analyze feedback to enhance curricular offerings.

Responsibilities

Collecting and organizing qualitative and quantitative feedback from educators

Adapting existing math curricula (e.g. Illustrative Mathematics) to fit the MCP model

Hiring, training, and managing contractors who help develop math curricular materials

Reviewing and providing feedback on contractor submissions with a high level of attention to detail

Preparing and distributing high-quality curricular resources across multiple platforms, including Google Drive

Collaborating with the Program, Partnerships, Sales, and Research teams to ensure excellent materials for math educators

Manage additional math-related projects as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree

Teaching experience

Public Education experience

Secondary 6-12 teaching experience

Thorough knowledge of math curriculum and pedagogy at the K-12 level

Experience teaching secondary math in a traditional classroom setting

Experience developing curriculum-related materials in a full-time or contract-based capacity

Demonstrated exceptional communication and collaboration abilities

Comfort with remote work in a dynamic, start-up environment

General knowledge of Google Suite tools, especially Google Slides & Google Sheets

Self-starter who can work independently and think on their feet

Passionate about making the world a better place, particularly through education
