Welding Technology Instructors TCAT-Hartsville
Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) is seeking qualified Welding Technology Instructors for TCAT-Hartsville to assist with classroom and lab instruction in various welding processes. The instructors will support high school and adult learners, maintain safety standards, evaluate student progress, and help students develop skills for employment in the welding industry.
Higher Education
Responsibilities
Assist with the coordination and evaluation of all phases of the College’s Welding Technology programs
Physically able to lift, stoop, stand, and walk to demonstrate and perform all work based projects required
Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to students to prepare them to become welders
Maintain good public relations with business and industry
Maintain an active advisory committee and cooperate with outside agencies
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum Five (5) Years Of Welding Experience
Ability to teach GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), SMAW (STICK), oxyacetylene fusion, flux core welding, flame cutting, brazing, soldering
Familiarity with blueprint reading, welding symbols, metallurgy, fitting and fabrication
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to maintaining safety and program-accrediting standards
Preferred
Teaching Experience
Postsecondary diploma or A.A.S. in Welding or related field
Certifications such as AWS, CWE, CWI, or NCCER
Robotic welding and/or teaching experience
