Senior Associate, Development
Related Ross is actively seeking a Senior Associate to join their development team, focusing on all aspects of real estate development. The role involves site acquisition, project financing, due diligence, and overall project management, particularly for mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities
Underwrite new development and acquisition opportunities
Take leadership and ownership for the execution of the development, with the goal of maximizing value creation and innovation
Conduct market research, site assessments and other due diligence related to site acquisition and development feasibility
Author financial forecasts, project reports and investment memoranda
Create and manage detailed financial models and budgets for all components of the project including roll up models
Recommend major operating and financial decisions for approval, e.g., leases and/or financings
Lead the day-to-day development activities of the projects including entitlements and approval management, programming, public relations, environmental, design and construction, and marketing, leasing and financing coordination
Oversee day-to-day project management responsibilities: Careful attention to whether the project is proceeding on time, on budget and in accordance with plan
Attend and participate in project meetings and executive presentations, including design and planning meetings, internal and external presentations, project coordination meetings, stakeholder meetings, construction administration meetings, and various workshops plan
On an ongoing basis, assess project risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them
Be proactive in advising senior management of issues/opportunities that may have meaningful economic consequence
In collaboration with RR Construction and Design Management divisions, work closely with architects and engineers to maximize land usage, building efficiency, design integrity and meet proforma targets
Management and motivation of employees that would report directly or dotted line to this position
Qualification
Required
A minimum of a bachelor's degree; MBA or MRED preferred
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in mixed-use, retail and/or hospitality development
Prior work experience with a prominent developer is required, including at least one completed project through the full development cycle
Proven skill in maximizing the operating and financial performance of development projects
Strong quantitative, financial analysis and modeling, advanced MS Excel skills are required; experience with Argus is a bonus
Strong project management skills, results-driven, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
