Koniag Government Services is seeking an experienced Tier 2 Network Administrator to support complex network issues for their government customer. The role involves troubleshooting advanced network problems, analyzing logs, and providing knowledge transfer to the Tier 1 team.

Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve complex network issues escalated from the Tier 1 team
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network problems covering routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure and more
Analyze logs, packet captures, and monitoring data to identify root causes
Interact with other infrastructure teams, document solutions, and provide knowledge transfer back to the Tier 1 team

Required

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering or related field
3-5 years of network administration and troubleshooting experience
Strong understanding of routing protocols, network services, and security
Experience with network monitoring, traffic analysis, and scripting tools
Expert-level troubleshooting abilities for complex network issues
Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze technical data, identify patterns, and provide solutions
Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
Ability to obtain a Public Trust
