Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, keeping up to date with any changes in tax legislation that may affect clients
Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficient tax structuring
Review and analyze tax returns prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Develop and implement tax compliance policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed within the firm
Assist clients with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions and activities
Train and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or Master's in Taxation preferred
Active CPA or EA license required
Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a public accounting environment
Experienced working with HNWI, Trust, Estate or Gift tax
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
MBA or Master's in Taxation
Prior Wealth Management or Family Office experience is a plus
