Life Skills Coach/Day Program Caregiver(DSP) - FULL OR PART TIME
Marin Ventures is a community engagement day program for adults with developmental disabilities, seeking empathetic and proactive Life Skills Coaches to join their team. The role involves supporting and enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through various activities, teaching life skills, and assisting with personal care and community outings.

Responsibilities
Instruct and engage in activities reflecting program participants preferences and goals
Support participants to maximize independence in all activities
Teach and train participants in life skills
Help create and organize classroom activities and community outings
Assist participants with lunch and snacks including supervision of meal times and assisting participants with eating
Assisting participants with personal care and hygiene
Take participants on community outings using agency vehicles, personal car, and/or public transportation
Complete basic documentation: observation and seizure reports, case notes, data on clients’ goals and objectives, van logs, mileage/expense reports, and administrative paperwork
Share observations regarding participant progress or concerns with Program Coordinators
Qualification
Required
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or any combination of similar education and experience
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a current valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record for a minimum of two years
Must be able to pass an FBI and Department of Justice background check
Must be physically capable of completing job related tasks such as lifting 25lbs and standing for an entire shift
Preferred
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities highly preferred
Ability to drive agency vehicles highly preferred
