Create detailed and accurate designs for roof trusses, floor trusses, beams, and LVL/I-Joists using software such as Alpine or MiTek
Oversee complex projects, ensuring designs meet building codes, customer requirements, and budgetary constraints
Collaborate with customers to clarify design needs and deliver optimal solutions
Serve as a technical advisor during project discussions, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering trust
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth
Lead training sessions on advanced design software and techniques
Identify and implement improvements to the design workflow to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in truss design, CAD, or framing, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively
Proficiency in advanced design software and a commitment to continuous learning
Minimum of 5+ years in truss design, CAD, or jobsite framing
Ability to sit, stand, and move frequently throughout the day
Adaptability to work in diverse environments, including production areas and job sites
Preferred
Experience with Alpine, MiTek, or similar software
Bachelor's degree in a related field is desirable
