Medication Admin Assistant (TMA)
Illuminus is a faith-based, not-for-profit senior living management company dedicated to serving older adults and families throughout the Midwest. The Medication Administration Assistant, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for preparing, administering, and recording medications while maintaining effective communication and promoting a positive image of the community.

Responsibilities
Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals
Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values
Responsible for on-call services, as assigned
Administers medications as prescribed and per healthcare policy
Performs all necessary related functions, such as blood pressure checks and pulses in conjunction with the medication pass as needed
Communicates changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse immediately and accurately
Successfully completes required educational units annually
Attends training sessions, staff meeting and in-services to stay current with information regarding drug therapies and healthcare processes
Performs other duties, as assigned

Required

Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions
Ability to adapt to change
Minimum age of 18 years old is required
High school graduate or high school equivalency diploma
Successful completion and certification of the State of Minnesota approved Mediation Administration Assistant training program
Be current on the State of Minnesota nurse aide directory
Be current on the federal nurse aid directory
Current CPR Certification and ability to maintain
A Licensed Practical Nurse may be employed as a Medication Administration Assistant when successfully completing the required educational units annually and maintaining licensure with the State of Minnesota
