The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the electric distribution design team and ensuring the successful execution of various projects while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Lead technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing
Manage the engineering aspects of multiple projects ranging from 120V to 34.5kV
In developing project schedules and defining technical staff for projects and daily work
Assist in the development of technical staff through mentoring, instructing of technical engineering principles and governing electrical and safety codes
Instruct and teach the technical staff in the use of computer systems and software, tools and equipment, and company owned motor vehicles
Manage and provide guidance and direction for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate internal/external reviews of designs completed prior to submissions
Collaborate with the department management to develop, evaluate, and implement new policies and procedures which reflect best engineering practices
Collaborate with other departments and divisions on company-wide initiatives
Maintain great relationships with our existing clients and seek out opportunities with potential future clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical, Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Active PE licensure
5+ years of experience in Power Distribution Design
Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of projects being worked by staff
Must be able to effectively lead a project team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability
Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Distribution facilities and understanding of its integration into daily activities
Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, and other industry software
Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
