The Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer will be responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial real estate loans, while also servicing an existing portfolio.

Responsibilities

Source, develop, structure, and underwrite new commercial real estate loans for new High Net Worth Individuals, Families and Companies

Work and develop credit proposals with various stakeholders and present recommendations for Credit Committee approval

Assure timely loan closing and funding activities; prepare and maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with Credit Committee requirements

Must be well versed in different lending structures such as Note on Note, A/B and Mezzanine Financing

Maintain strong and frequent dialogue with clients, to provide better service and to anticipate problems

Review, approval and disposition of uncollected funds and overdrafts. Maintain credit facilities and renew them annually, or more frequently, as required

Be a market leader and attend various industry events

Required

7+ years of real estate lending; proven new business development with a commercial bank or financial institution. Must be a problem solver in a fast-paced environment

Must have existing relationships to draw upon now or in the future

Be able to structure, negotiate and document the most complex transactions

Excellent analytical and communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Potential managerial duties with the expansion of the group

Knowledge of accounting and finance; familiarity with the tri-county South Florida market
