Responsibilities

Should be hands-on in developing Java based API, web-hooks, API gateway (ex: Apigee)
Should possess basic knowledge on AI, Model-Context Protocol, software 2.0 and hands-on working on any AI related area
Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the sephora.com and the commerce APIs
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Able to parse large data sets like product catalog, inventory feeds to troubleshoot issues

Required

Should possess basic knowledge on AI, Model-Context Protocol, software 2.0 and hands-on working on any AI related area
Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the sephora.com and the commerce APIs
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Able to parse large data sets like product catalog, inventory feeds to troubleshoot issues
Knowledge of design patterns like, circuit breaker, Backend For Frontend (BFF), Saga, CQRS, etc
Should have the ability to understand and refactor the program code
Used at least 1 AI pair programming tools (like GitHub copilot)
Knowledge of API-gateway, Kafka and event-drive architecture
Knowledge in Oracle / MY SQL / No-Sql databases
Knowledge on application monitoring solutions (Splunk / Dynatrace)
Ability to Write and Call a Restful API and web-hooks
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
Must be results orientated and self-motivated
Graduating in 2026 or 2027 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
Must permanently reside and work in the U.S
Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions
Available from June 1 - August 14, 2026
Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA

Preferred

Having knowledge on developing microservices using Spring boot framework would be a value add
