Responsibilities
Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
Evaluate patient eligibility for specific healthcare programs based on criteria provided, such as age, medical conditions, or other qualifying factors
Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to gather necessary information and explain the benefits and requirements of various healthcare programs
Accurately document patient information, enrollment details, and program eligibility assessments in electronic health records (EHR) or other designated systems
Monitor the progress of enrollment applications, communicate with patients, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the enrollment process
Provide patients with clear and concise explanations regarding healthcare programs offered by Medsien
Adhere to all relevant privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
Stay informed about changes, updates, and new offerings related to healthcare programs, and effectively communicate these changes to patients
Work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, social workers, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless patient enrollment
Qualification
Required
Spanish/English Bilingual- spoken and written required
Possess an active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc)
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses to accurately assess patient eligibility
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable manner
Demonstrated ability to interact with patients empathetically, showing sensitivity to their needs and concerns
Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate completion of enrollment applications and documentation
Effective organizational skills to manage multiple patient enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, computer proficiency, and the ability to quickly learn new software applications
Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct when dealing with sensitive patient information
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude
