Intern, Personalization Data Science

The Intern, Personalization Data Science will assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, collaborating with data scientists to analyze and visualize data to derive actionable insights in the beauty industry.

Responsibilities
Assist in data collection and preprocessing tasks, helping to clean and organize datasets from various sources within the beauty retail ecosystem
Help create and update dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize key metrics for stakeholders
Contribute to the testing and validation of machine learning models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability before deployment
Collaborate with team members to conduct basic exploratory data analysis, uncovering initial insights about customer preferences and product trends
Assist in preparing data for analysis by performing tasks such as data aggregation, feature engineering, and format standardization
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis (Python and SQL)
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI and matplotlib)
Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas)
Basic understanding of database systems and data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with basic statistical concepts, data mining techniques and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
Familiarity with API creation and web scraping methodologies
Graduating in 2025 or 2026 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
Must permanently reside and work in the U.S
Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions
Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA
