They are seeking a Staff Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and build infrastructure, automate processes, and enhance security while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Design and build infrastructure and tooling to support the Assured platform, from scaling existing products to enabling entirely new product initiatives
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform and Terragrunt to ensure consistency, repeatability, and reliability across a large number of customer environments
Evolve our platform foundations across AWS (EKS, SQS, Aurora, S3), balancing innovation with sustainability
Partner with product and engineering teams to improve performance, and reliability across services
Strengthen our security posture, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards
Improve developer experience, building systems that make it easier and faster for teams to deliver value
Lead, mentor, and collaborate with engineers across the company, raising the bar on technical excellence and infrastructure practices
Qualification
Required
Experience architecting and operating highly available database solutions, ideally Aurora PostgreSQL
Strong experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes in a scaling environment
Ability to autonomously design, build, and scale high-quality infrastructure from early stages to maturity
Proactive identification and solving of critical infrastructure problems, collaborating across teams where needed
Strong engineering background and history of designing resilient systems
Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal oversight
Care deeply about reliability and building sustainable and durable systems
Default to automation but know when pragmatism and simplicity win the day
Make others better through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and mentorship
Navigate ambiguity and persist through challenges, rallying others when necessary
Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with engineers across the company, raising the bar on technical excellence and infrastructure practices
Preferred
Experience working in a start-up environment
Expertise and understanding in deploying and automating the delivery of modern SaaS platforms at scale
Experience in designing and building infrastructure and tooling to support a platform
