Responsibilities

Provide on-site engineering support for the ultrasound production line to keep operations running smoothly. Troubleshoot technical issues in real time to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
Lead initiatives that boost yield, reduce cycle time, and eliminate defects (DEFOA) on the manufacturing floor. Develop smarter test processes and ensure seamless integration of design changes into production
Investigate complex product issues from manufacturing or the field and perform root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions and validate changes to maintain quality and compliance with medical device regulations
Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to align on requirements and solutions. Lead technical discussions across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines to ensure system-level excellence
Act as the technical interface for suppliers to resolve component issues and improve reliability. Qualify new components and ensure all parts meet Philips standards and comply with FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601 requirements

Required

5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical hardware development (medical device or highly regulated industry is preferred)
Familiarity with analog/digital circuits and system-level integration
Solid understanding of electronics hardware (PCBAs, power supplies, interconnects, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems
Proficiency with lab test equipment and reading electrical schematics and electrical hardware design documentation
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Proven ability to perform root cause analysis of hardware issues and drive problems to resolution
Use of structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. Kepner-Tregoe or Six Sigma tools) in past projects
Ability to successfully perform the minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation
Strong communication skills and a track record of effective collaboration in cross-functional teams

Preferred

MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Experience leading technical discussions with suppliers or manufacturing teams
