Instructional Systems Designer- 40hr
Connecticut Children's is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer who will work with minimal supervision and serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level staff. The role involves designing and developing instructional materials for training courses, utilizing effective needs analysis, project management, and evaluation skills for both internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities
Design and develop instructional material for customer training courses
Conduct effective needs analysis and project management
Develop entry and advanced level courses for internal and external audiences
Demonstrate proficiency in understanding computer systems, applications, and interfaces
Utilize data gathering techniques to devise, design, and communicate systems solutions
Create detailed work-related specifications, system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and project and change management plans
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Demonstrate a proficient degree of analytical skills
Qualification
Required
Fully experienced with the skillset or knowledge in instructional design
Works with minimal supervision
Capable of serving as a trainer and mentor to junior and mid-level staff
Capable of designing and developing instructional material for customer training courses
Demonstrates effective needs analysis skills
Demonstrates project management skills
Demonstrates course development skills
Demonstrates evaluation skills to independently develop entry and advanced level courses
Demonstrates proficiency in understanding computer systems, applications, and interfaces
Demonstrates proficiency in data gathering techniques
Ability to devise, design, and communicate systems solutions to client issues and problems of medium complexity
Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of the Connecticut Children's business functions
May require specialized knowledge in a specific application/computer system (e.g., Captivate, Lectora, Dreamweaver)
Creates detailed work-related specifications, system design documentation, procedures, process and data flows, and project and change management plans
Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues
Demonstrates a proficient degree of analytical skills
