Senior Actuary Analyst
Acadia Insurance, part of W. R. Berkley Corporation, is a leading commercial lines property and casualty insurer. They are seeking a motivated P&C Actuary to lead a wide range of actuarial work, including reserve analyses, loss ratio forecasts, and providing support to various teams across the business.

Responsibilities
Quarterly reserve analyses and presenting results to leadership
Annual loss ratio forecasts and pricing support for underwriters
Regular updates and explanations for management (e.g., rate changes, claims trends)
Supporting teams across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, data/IT, and risk
Work closely with underwriters and leaders to support smart decisions
Help improve our data, tools, and processes for everyone
Lead projects where actuarial thinking can make a real difference
Qualification
Required
Strong communication and people skills to get results
Solid technical background, ideally with Python, R, or similar capabilities
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field
5–8 years of P&C actuarial experience
FCAS or near-FCAS (or international equivalent)
Working knowledge of SQL and Python or R to manipulate and retrieve data
Executive-level communication skills able to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Independent thinker who can challenge the status quo while maintaining professional and collaborative relationships
Preferred
Prior experience with reserving, insurance financial reporting and controls preferred but not necessary
