Responsibilities
Perform in conceptual and detailed design and hydraulic calculations and analyses
Assist in preparing detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents
Prepare engineering reports
Conduct research related to engineering policies and practices
Develop or prepare descriptive charts, figures/maps, and tables/matrices
Support cost-benefit analysis
Perform field work or construction observation
Perform writing assignments to contribute to project documentation and deliverables such as memos and reports
Assist with quality control and assurance; and
Prepare permit applications and support materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or a related field)
0-2 years of relevant civil engineering experience, EIT Certification
Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with elements of the design-bid-build process including engineering analysis, permitting, development of construction documents (plans and specifications), cost estimating, and construction administration and observation
Has ability to lead engineering designs independently and work with others for support
Computer literate, knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Preferred
Related site/civil or municipal experience is highly desired
Experience with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
