Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior account leads in the execution of daily communications responsibilities, with a strong focus on implementing strategic plans and tactical initiatives—particularly in earned media relations, thought leadership and product review programs
Actively pursue media to secure press results; network and build relationships with key media contacts, and proactively develop new story angles for clients
Maintain regular and clear communication with team and client, own account projects from start to finish and proactively flag opportunities for clients
Build media, influencer and analyst relationships on behalf of the client and the agency
Draft press materials and speaker submissions for review by a senior team member
Demonstrate working knowledge of client industries and competitors to provide recommendations on strategies to internal colleagues and clients, as appropriate
Supports or leads on event logistics, briefing docs, vendor relations, and on-site execution for client events
Participate in new business pitch development and presentations, as appropriate
Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs

Required

Prior experience as a junior employee in public relations, marketing, or a related field. Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 2+ years of experience
Self-motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work
Strong writing skills
Critical thinking to help shape programs, advise junior team members, and make recommendations to clients
Understands the practical application of AI tools in communications (media list building, content ideation, sentiment analysis, drafting, etc.) and actively integrates AI into workflows
Comfortable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Proficient with media monitoring and data analytics tools including Muckrack, Cision, Critical Mention, etc

Tech industry background and/or interest strongly preferred
