Mechanical Engineering Internship - Summer 2026 (Multiple Locations)
CRB is a leading AEC firm specializing in life sciences and food and beverage industries, dedicated to client satisfaction and corporate responsibility. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to engage in real-world project work, collaborate with industry leaders, and contribute to innovative solutions in building support systems. Responsibilities
Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards
Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead
Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors)
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program
Available to work full-time during the internship period: May–August 2026
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
Strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industries
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, contractors)
Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications
Willingness to relocate or work in one of CRB's internship locations, which may include: Kansas City (MO), Raleigh (NC), Orange County (CA), Philadelphia (PA), St. Louis (MO), Boston (MA), San Diego (CA), Kalamazoo (MI), Denver (CO), and/or Rockville (MD)
Preferred
Experience with HVAC systems strongly preferred
Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, Assemble)
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry
Prior internship or co-op experience in Mechanical Engineering or related field
