The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will oversee drawing reviews, capital expenditure planning, and automation feedback for Sheet Metal, while leading a team to design and implement comprehensive production and inspection lines for sheet metal manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Analyse customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of sheet metal DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines
Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts
Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with our customers and the Federal team
Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing
Qualification
Required
Senior Manager or above level who's technically in the weeds, with deep expertise in Sheet Metal production and inspection
Able to travel to assess factories 40% of the time
Capable of leading 1-2 sheet metal MEs
Able to analyse DFM, and design/plan production and inspection lines for sheet metal
Prior experience standing up new sheet metal lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains
Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions
Preferred
Software or automation experience is not required, but helpful
Working knowledge of sheet metal technology and CapEx
