Responsibilities
Provides support to the security department in their daily activities
Utilizes security software SIMS and Symmetry entering and maintaining records for new hires as well as providing assistance in new hire preparation, intake and onboarding
Communicates with security personnel for incoming and outgoing site visits as well as travel requests
Assists with organizing and managing physical security records
Qualification
Required
Students must be at a sophomore standing or above at the time the internship begins
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
US citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for this position
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter
Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications
Preferred
Preference will be given to students who have also completed coursework in Criminal Justice
