Responsibilities
Establish scalable data foundations by designing and implementing robust data models, pipelines, and processes to support product and company-wide analytics at Actively
Develop metrics, frameworks, and dashboards to track business health, customer engagement, model performance, and value realization
Analyze cross-customer trends and surface insights that inform strategy and product roadmap
Shape the ROI narrative for prospects and customers
Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency across the business, design experiments, and recommend improvements grounded in data
Define the long-term vision for data at Actively: from tools/technologies that make our data stack best-in-class, to standards for data quality and observability, to how we measure success as a company
Qualification
Required
4-7+ years across data analytics / data engineering roles, ideally with exposure to early-stage or high-growth SaaS environments
Excited to be the first data hire – scrappy, able to set direction, but also roll up your sleeves and make progress independently
Comfortable writing SQL and building pipelines as well as framing ROI stories for executives
Background in data analytics, with enough data engineering fluency to design schemas, own orchestration, and handle performance/scaling issues
Ability to help the team understand what data means, where we're winning, and where we need to change course
Care deeply about how data translates into customer value, and energized by proving product impact
Ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling narratives for cross-functional partners and customers alike
