Lead Chemical Process Quality Engineer
GE Aerospace is a company focused on driving quality across the Chemical Process supply chain. The Lead Chemical Process Quality Engineer will be responsible for supplier quality assurance and development, conducting audits, and implementing process improvements to enhance performance.

Responsibilities
Drive Supplier Quality Assurance and Development, including supplier qualifications, action plans, and performance monitoring
Assist key suppliers in achieving industrial standards of excellence
Become a certified expert (Certifying Agent) in Chemical Processes such as cleaning, stripping, etching, plating, anodize, paint, and DFL
Document technical data for assigned projects in alignment with engineering policies and procedures
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance First Time Yield and delivery performance
Collaborate with Design and Materials Engineers to improve manufacturability and producibility
Conduct supplier audits, identify gaps in quality systems, and drive corrective actions to closure
Solve problems using technical expertise, analytic thinking, and collaboration across teams
Requires specialized knowledge within the chemical process function. Partner with suppliers in developing high performing chemical processes
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in Engineering or as a Chemical Processing Level III)
Minimum 5 years of experience with Chemical and/or Metal Finishing Processes
Ability to travel up to 25% for audits, conferences, and problem-solving activities
Preferred
Significant Experience as Process Engineer / Process Owner over Chemical Cleaning, Chemical Etching, Chemical Stripping, Plating, Anodizing, Paint, and DFL processes
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
Familiarity with Nadcap System and Audit requirements for Chemical Processing
Advanced degree in Material Science, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering preferred
