Apple is looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to deploy, operate, and enhance Kubernetes infrastructure within their Silicon Technologies organization. In this highly visible role, you will ensure that Apple's Silicon Engineering Group has reliable, scalable, and secure container orchestration platforms needed to engineer and design advanced silicon devices and products.

Responsibilities

Deploy, operate, and enhance Kubernetes infrastructure within the Silicon Technologies organization
Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure container orchestration platforms for engineering workflows
Utilize expertise in Kubernetes administration, infrastructure automation, and container technologies to build and maintain robust cluster environments
Provide architectural guidance and demonstrate expertise in cluster management, security hardening, and performance optimization
Champion cloud-native practices and implement sophisticated Kubernetes solutions in a large distributed environment

Required

Minimum requirement of BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in Kubernetes architecture, administration, and security

Preferred

Strong Linux system administration and container technologies experience
Experience with Kubernetes package management and templating tools (Helm, Kustomize)
Experience developing custom Kubernetes operators and controllers
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash, Go)
Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and configuration management (Puppet, Ansible)
Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
Experience with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and performance tuning
