Responsibilities

Research, design, and deploy audio solutions for Classroom AV Services
Act as the main DSP programmer for the department
Assist in the installation of AV systems with a focus on audio solutions
Troubleshoot issues reported by Tier 1 and 2 support staff
Swap out faulty products and test systems for functionality
Track issues and work performed in the department’s ticketing system
Update product inventory in the department’s asset management solution
Serve as the main audio technician for live events

Required

Several years experience in the AV industry
Experience with installed audio solutions
Experience with live audio production
Experience with programming audio DSPs from QSC (Q-Sys) and BiAmp
Basic knowledge of AV signal flow
Working knowledge of Dante, AES67, gain structure, acoustics, RF frequencies, and equalization strategies
Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting AV components and systems
Experience with various web-conferencing, live streaming, and lecture capture applications/hardware
Ability to operate comfortably in high stress environments
Demonstrated ability work within a team and independently to achieve goals
Must be able to move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work from ladders or scaffolding as required
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Experience in higher education
Experience providing rapid and effective support to end users
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
Experience with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android computer systems
Experience documenting issues and resolutions through a ticketing system
Vast experience with product inventory systems
Construction experience
Managerial experience
Understanding of IP network infrastructure, setup, and management
Experience with Shure Wireless Workbench
Industry certifications are preferred
Avixa – CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D
Crestron
QSC
Dante
Other manufacturer certifications
