Senior RF Design Engineer

They are seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to design and develop transmitters, receivers, and exciters, while working with interdisciplinary teams and providing technical support during production transitions.

Responsibilities
Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters
Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.)
Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc
Schematic capture and RF routing
Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' of prior work experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test
Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required post-start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, SystemVUE and/or MentorGraphics' Xpedition
Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis
Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges
Experience in cost and schedule management
Experience in technical / proposal writing and oral presentations
Technical background in any of the following areas: Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning, Filter design and fabrication, Circuit card assembly and fabrication, High speed data converter test / characterization, Low Noise RF source design and test experience
