Business Data and Reporting Analyst Level 2 - Hourly - Payroll
The City University of New York is seeking a Part-Time Business Data and Reporting Analyst Level 2 to provide expert end-user support for their CUNYfirst ERP system. The role involves entering and auditing employment actions, processing payroll transactions, resolving payroll inquiries, and maintaining tracking reports.

Responsibilities
Enters and Audits Adjunct Employment Actions in CUNYfirst: Accurately enters adjunct hiring and reappointment actions into CUNYfirst; audits transaction reports to identify and correct data discrepancies; ensures compliance with University payroll timelines and data integrity standards
Processes and Reconciles Non-Tax Levy Payroll Transactions: Utilizes Paychex Flex to enter, verify, and reconcile non-tax levy payments; identifies data inconsistencies and determines corrective actions in coordination with HR and Finance
Reviews and Resolves Payroll Inquiries: Responds to walk-in and telephone inquiries regarding payroll status, pay discrepancies, and related payroll transactions; researches and resolves issues using CUNYfirst and associated systems
Facilitates Payroll Document Submissions: Prepares, reviews, and submits required payroll documentation to University Payroll via Tumbleweed; ensures timely processing and accurate record maintenance
Prepares Employment and Verification Reports: Compiles, validates, and transmits data for employment and mortgage verification requests; ensures the confidentiality and accuracy of employee information
Develops and Maintains Tracking Reports and Data Logs: Creates and maintains spreadsheets, reports, and data tracking tools to monitor adjunct, non-tax levy, and payroll activities; runs standard and ad-hoc CUNYfirst reports to support decision-making and compliance audits
Provides Front-Line Administrative Support: Performs front desk operations, directs inquiries to appropriate HR/Payroll staff, and provides general information related to payroll processes and CUNYfirst transactions
Qualification
Required
Possession of a High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated English language proficiency, including the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English well enough to meet minimally acceptable performance standards set for the job tasks
One (1) year of related full-time experience utilizing PeopleSoft computer software technology. CUNY considers full-time experience to be 35 hours per week. Experience that is less than full-time and more than 20 hours per week can be prorated at 50% (e.g., two month's related work experience at 20-35 hours per week equate to one month's full-time related work experience.)
