Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains drainage ditches, swales, culverts and stormwater collection systems
Assists crews in constructing and maintaining sidewalks, headwalls, driveways, stormwater collection systems and related maintenance tasks
Operates a variety of vehicles and equipment
Restores work area to original condition
Supports and actively promotes the City's safety programs. Follows standard operating procedures, observes safety practices and reports potential safety hazards

Qualification

Required

A minimum of one (1) year of construction maintenance or other experience in performing heavy manual labor in an outdoor environment
Possession of a valid driver's license, Class E; Class B preferred
Ability to obtain a valid Confined Space Certificate within 6 months
FDOT Flagging Certification within 12 months

Preferred

Class B driver's license
Stormwater license C
