Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
Develop comprehensive cost estimates and identify value engineering opportunities
Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing
Conduct risk and opportunity assessments to ensure thorough, reliable estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements
Prepare and present detailed budgets, cost estimates, and proposals to stakeholders
Utilize and refine specialized estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes, supporting Willmeng’s commitment to quality and innovation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
5–10 years of industry experience
Proven experience in heavy civil construction—earthwork, concrete, and utilities
Ability to analyze project plans, specs, and costs to deliver accurate, competitive estimates
Experience leveraging advanced estimating and project management software for precise bid preparation
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate seamlessly with project teams and clients
Meticulous, detail-driven approach to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness
