CAD Draftsman Assistant Project Manager
Air Comfort LLC is a top-tier Mechanical Service Contractor that has been in business since 1935. The CAD Draftsman / Assistant Project Manager will support the In-House Estimating Team and their customers by preparing various CAD drawings and assisting in project management tasks.

Responsibilities
Prepare Permit CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Prepare As-Built CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Prepare Shop CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Review Plans and Specifications for completeness and prepare RFI’s for additional information as required
Assist with Project Management for construction projects sold as directed
Develop project schedules
Obtain installation permits as required
Order equipment and materials; issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors
Prepare project scopes and procure quotations from vendors and subcontractors
Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing
Ongoing job tracking of projects in progress
Assist in resolution of problems that arise during construction projects
Continually update sheet meal and piping estimating software to ensure accurate material costs
Perform postmortem analysis on completed projects, comparing estimated costs to actual costs incurred
Manage project close-out documentation, including: as-built drawings, warranty letters, start-up reports, balancing reports, IOM’s, etc
Stay abreast of current technology and construction methods in an effort to continually improve production and quality
Utilize Dropbox to maintain organized job files for field personnel
Qualification
Required
Experience in preparing Permit CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Experience in preparing As-Built CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Experience in preparing Shop CAD drawings for Mechanical Systems
Ability to review Plans and Specifications for completeness and prepare RFI's for additional information as required
Experience in assisting with Project Management for construction projects
Ability to develop project schedules
Ability to obtain installation permits as required
Experience in ordering equipment and materials; issuing purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors
Experience in preparing project scopes and procuring quotations from vendors and subcontractors
Ability to negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing
Experience in ongoing job tracking of projects in progress
Ability to assist in resolution of problems that arise during construction projects
Experience in updating sheet metal and piping estimating software to ensure accurate material costs
