ALTEN is seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Interface & UAT Consultant to provide immediate support during critical User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The consultant will ensure smooth testing, manage file loads, run reports, define SLAs, and establish clear escalation channels for faster communication and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support for Oracle HCM and UKG/Kronos payroll interfaces during UAT
Assist in file loading, data validation, and report execution
Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues in real time
Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for testing support and ensure adherence
Act as a clear escalation contact for quick resolution of test-related issues
Drive a collaborative communication approach between technical teams, payroll, and business stakeholders

Required

Strong expertise in payroll and workforce system integrations, ideally involving Oracle and UKG/Kronos
Hands-on experience with UAT processes, issue tracking, and defect resolution
Ability to work under tight deadlines and provide quick turnaround solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting payroll interfaces between Oracle HCM and UKG/Kronos (including file formats, mapping, and error handling)
Strong ability to plan, execute, and validate test cases, manage file loading, perform data validation, and resolve defects quickly under tight deadlines
Ability to run payroll reports, validate results, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across systems
Clear ownership of SLA-driven issue resolution, escalation handling, and ensuring timely closure of defects
Strong skills in cross-team communication, ensuring faster, collaborative problem solving across technical teams, payroll, and business users
